Hello
I am writing you from a company named "robots in search". We are distributors of robotics components. We sell stereo and monocular cameras which work on IEEE 1394 firewire port.
Could you please inform is there a way to attach the cameras using some interface cards? If not does Fit PC have any plans to install this port on these computer.
Best Regards

Firewire Availability
Re: Firewire Availability
We do not support or warrant this kind of adaptation.
Technically speaking - There is mini-PCIe in fit-PC2 only (not in fit-PC2i). It can be accommodated with a FireWire adapter. Then the case needs to be modified for the FireWire connector.
This would all be much easier with fit-PC3.

Re: Firewire Availability
If I was to implement a firewire adapter on the fit PC2 via mini PCIe card, would I have to disconnect something already in the card slot? and does the power supply have spare power hookups or would external power have to be supplied to the firewire adapter card?
Thank you,
Thank you,
Re: Firewire Availability
It would be instead of WiFi. Better implement firewire with fit-PC3.
