BIOS setting option for Windows 7

Post by MDeer »

Hi, There is BIOS setting for different OS. XP, Vista, Other,

What exactly change in each setting, to best suit for the OS?
I also notice when install not successful, some time by disable the Audio, sometime the splash screen helps. But Why?

For example when install Windows 7.
Should I use the Windows Vista or use Other?
How about Linux? Again the question go back to the begining, What exactly changed in each of the option.

These are settings supplied by Phoenix - the BIOS vendor - mostly subtle changes in ACPI settings inquired by OS mostly during installation.

The audio disable is an issue with Windows 7 installer and is not related to these settings.

Thanks But I still don't know when to use the "Other" setting.
For Windows7 or Linux?
