Fit-PC2i and Wlan not working with Ubuntu 9.10 (solved)

Hi,

I´ve just installed Ubuntu 9.10 according to instructions listed in here:
http://www.fit-pc2.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=1150

My problem is that the wlan does not work. Ubuntu network manager does not find any wlan networks although there are plenty of them available (all WPA secured).

My question is that are there some additional configuration tasks needed to get the wlan working? I understood from 9.10 installation instructions above that it should work out of the box which it does not.

Both wired ethernet connections are working normally.

***Problem solved.
By downgrading to Ubuntu 9.04 wireless started to work out of the box.

You can also get it working on Ubuntu 9.10 by blacklisting rt2800usb, so that the rt2870sta module is loaded.

/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf

Though, the kernel provided by fit-pc doesn't include this module, so you will have to use the generic kernel image provided by Ubuntu if you want this to work, or build your own kernel.
